This one separates itself from our smaller version, because it has a 66" long - 110 volt power cord that, when plugged in, lights the interior of the telegraph beautifully. There is a notch in the base to allow the cord to rest inside of and make a flush floor mount.
This terrific, old-world ship's telegraph device, provided a time saving communication link between the pilothouse and the ships' engine room.
High quality solid polished brass working replica. All the classic telegraph markings are visible and readable. It has detentes, to hold the handles at each point, and makes a timeless, deep, crisp and full toned "ding" sound as you move the lever to an order. This type of telegraph was dedicated to twin engines, as each moves independently of the other. This is a brand new item suitable for the most discriminating collector.
Instructions to change the bulb. There are 4 screws, that connect the top of the telegraph to the base. By removing the 4 screws, you can lift the top portion off and switch out the light bulb. And just reverse the steps to put it back together.
